Overview

The Employee Relations team of the Human Resources department strives to foster a common platform of mutual respect amongst all staff, employees’ unions and associations.

This team provides support and services to the Board within the following areas of focus:

  • Development of strong employee / employer relationships - Focused on building trust and mutual understanding, this team facilitates programs and services that facilitate the development of strong employee/employer relationships.  Examples include such responsibilities as employment policies and procedures, labour management relations, and working with the organization to resolve potential workplace conflict.

  • Management of Human Resource Information - This includes the ongoing development of human resource information systems, as well as the adherence to Freedom of Information and Privacy legislation.
